God Reconciled ALL to Himself

Paul wrote in Colossians 1:19-22, "For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.  And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach."

All things - ALL of humanity - has been reconciled to God.  God has removed any distance between our relationship with Him.  We are united as One and can never be separated.  Notice how Paul refers to the alienation and hostility in mind....Our carnal mind can still deceive us and distract us from the truth of who we really are and how God sees us.  Focus on Jesus and not self.

Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 5:17-18, "In the light of your co-inclusion in His death and resurrection, whoever you thought you were before, Christ you are a brand new person!  The old ways of seeing yourself and everyone else are over.  Acquaint yourself with the new!  To now see everything as new is to simply see what God has always known in Christ; we are not debating man's experience, opinion, or his contribution; this is 100% God's belief and His doing.  In Jesus Christ, God exchanged equivalent value to redeem us to Himself.  This act of reconciliation is the mandate of our ministry."

Paul continued in verse 19, "Our ministry declares that Jesus did not act independant of God.  Christ is proof that God reconciled the total kosmos to Himself.  The fallen state of mankind was deleted; their trespass would no longer count against them.  God has placed this message within us.  He now announces His friendship with every individual from within us. "

This is really good news!  Thank you Father!

When you said, "all of humanity - has been reconciled to God". You are not teaching universal salvation are you? I know the world has been reconciled to God through the act of God in Christ paying the sin debt. He removed the barrier between us and Him. That is reconciliation part one; part two is us coming to Christ in personal faith, which is a gift of God. He chose us! I am just trying to understand where you are coming from. I have not been on this site much to fully know where you stand. Thank you.

Simply take a look at Rom 5:12-21 -- pay close attention to how Paul characterizes the width of ruin caused by Adam's sin, and contrasts it with the width of reconciliation offered by Christ's act of righteousness. By Adam's act, death spread to all men. By Christ's act of righteousness resulted in justification of life to all men. Now, either "all men" doesn't mean "all men" or you're going to have to consider that the impact of Christ's death on a sinful world was truly transforming, and was universal (to all men).
