Receiving the Reality of Jesus Christ

Revelation 3:20-22 Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
Romans 10:9 Paul says, "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, 'WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.' For there is no distinction between Jew or Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for 'WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'
You can receive the reality of Christ whom is already in you at any moment you are ready by faith through prayer. He always hears you and listens. He loves you completely and unconditionally. Jesus believes in YOU!! You are His beloved.
Is Jesus calling you?
The following is a suggested prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I need You. Life is messy and difficult without You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins once and for all and giving me eternal life in You. Take control of the throne of my life. Thank you for redeeming me with your abundant grace and taking away the sin of the world. As I rest in Your presence, I am holy, blameless and righteous in You, Lord. Empty me of me so I can be filled with you. Renew my life and my mind with Your Spirit of Life and Abundance. Transform my life, Lord, so that I may bring glory and honor to You and Your kingdom. Surrender my will to Yours, today and forever. I am completely yours."
Amen!
Even though God has been in your heart since you were born, it is the realization that He is there and what that means that changes the future. Imagine being given a gift at birth and you do not open it until a later age. Well, the time that was spent not receiving this gift, was time spent not experiencing this gift.
Christ is a gift and as we receive it through faith, we experience the gift more and more as we discover what it is and how amazing His grace is. We begin to see abundance instead of lack. We begin to see love instead of frustration. We begin to see God instead of this world. We begin to see heaven instead of struggle. Amen! :-)
Water baptism follows faith. Water baptism is a ceremony performed as an outward manifestation of your inward faith. Jesus did not baptize with water. He only baptized by the Spirit.
Although water baptism is not required, it is an experience that allows the
human mind to grasp the new creation concept and invites the Holy Spirit to transform the mind in the process. The picture that the mind creates from going under the water as the old self and emerging as the new self will be an experience the believer can draw from in the future. The old self died on the cross and the new self was resurrected with Christ. :-)
Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent (change your mind), and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Acts 2:41 "So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls."
A Living Hope and a Sure Salvation
1 Peter 1:3 Peter, an apostle of Jesus, says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
1 Peter 1:13-16 "Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because as it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."
All of your sins have been forgiven (past, present and future). You are in permanent fellowship with God in Christ.
We have been born again with Christ 2000 years ago. It is the realization of the fact of who we are and what He did that begins the transformation process which renews our mind to this awesome reality.
The Bible is the largest revelation of God that exists in a single book (depending on which version you are reading, it could contain approximately 66-77 books). As you become immersed in God's word, the renewal process will begin to transform you from the inside out.
