Most of my life I was led to believe I needed massive amounts of protein to build muscle. The truth is that over 40 grams of protein a day is too much over a long period of time. The body strains to take the protein and break it down to amino acids then convert it back to protein again. Rather than eating animals that are loaded with protein that eat the amino acids from the planes, it is much easier for every system in the human body to skip the animal step and consume raw plants directly. ♥

A known carcinogen created by cooking foods at high temperatures. Fried foods such as French fries contain very high levels of acrylamide, whereas potatoes that are steamed or boiled do not contain significant levels. An estimated 10-15% of the acrylamide in modern diets come from cereals. Enjoy an organic acai bowl or some raw fruit instead. About 1/5 of America's exposure to acrylamide results from the consumption of bread. Again, the key is the temperature at which it is baked or fried. Cookies, crackers, potato chips, roasted nuts and nut butters are also typically high in acrylamide. Another reason to eat raw. ♥

If you do not like the flavor find an alternative way to get 2-3 tbsp a day inside you. I make veggie capsules and take 4-6 a day. Adding it to soups and stews is also effective, but it does not take much to be overpowering. It is potent stuff. ♥

7) The Green Goddess
60-90% of what the body needs daily can be obtained from a smoothie I refer to as the green goddess. There is a recipe on the recipes page.
8) Sunlight, Sunscreen, Sunglasses and Cancer
We have been conditioned to protect ourselves from direct sunlight. Companies make millions and millions every year from this conditioned fear of the sunlight. The majority of sunscreens on the market have massive amounts of toxins and carcinogens that soak directly into the skin and bloodstream within 30 seconds of application.
9) The Circadian Rhythm and the Pineal Gland
There is much to be said here. Being in nature, in direct sunlight is a huge part of being healthy and in tune with our true being. If you are able to, spend a few nights in a row outside, preferably at least a week continuous. I wrote these two blogs a few years ago....check them out
